Edward E. Clutinger

Died: Monday, September 22, 2008
Edward Everett Clutinger, 72, English, died Monday, Sept. 22, 2008, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.

Born April 8, 1936, in Crawford County, he was the son of the late Everett Clutinger and Mayme Reasor.

He was a graduate of Leavenworth High School, a chemical supervisor at Celenese in Louisville, a farmer, served eight years on the Crawford County Community School Corp. board, was a member of Branchville Masonic Lodge, the Shriners and Celenese Fire Brigade, and was an elder at Bethel Christian Church in Doolittle Mills.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Maves Snapp, and a brother, Melvin Reason.

Survivors include his wife, the former Connie Knight; five children, Eddie Dewayne Clutinger of West Fork, Timothy James Clutinger of St. Croix, Nick Clutinger of Taswell, Chad Lee Riddle of English and Melissa Suelyn Elliott of Milltown; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation: Wednesday, Sept. 24, from 5 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, Sept. 25, after 9 a.m. at Denbo Funeral Home in English.

Funeral: Thursday, Sept. 25, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home followed by burial in Doolittle Mills Cemetery.

Officiants: Brothers Tom Nixon and Larry Martin.
