Billie L. Hart

Died: Saturday, October 25, 2008
Billie Lucile Hart, 80, Dallas, died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008.

Born in March 1928, in Harrison County, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Nattie Davis.

She was a 1951 graduate of MacMurray College, where she earned a Bachelor of Art in history; an active communicant in All Souls Church in Oklahoma City and The Church of the Incarnation in Dallas, where she rose to chairman of Incarnationís Thrift House, and St. Francis Anglican Church in Austin, Texas; was a member of St. Matthias Anglican Church in Dallas and the Daughters of the American Revolution, where she was a chaplain and one of the founders of the Lohmannís Ford DAR Chapter in Lakeway, Texas; established an in-home clandestine church in the 1950s for local Christians while her husband was stationed on the island of Bahrain; was a docent at the Revolutionary War Museum in Morristown, N.J., while living in Short Hills, N.J.; and was a homemaker.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Martha and Raye, and two brothers, Don and David.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Richard Hart; a daughter, Jennifer of Dallas; a son, David of Dallas; a sister, Judy of Brandenburg; and a brother, Robert of Ramsey.

Memorial service: Thursday, Nov. 6, at 3 p.m. at Edgemere in Dallas.

Internment: private.

The family suggests memorial gifts to the charity of the donorís choice.
