Mary (Shirley) Hulett

Died: Saturday, March 21, 2009
Mary (Shirley) Hulett, 82, Corydon, died Saturday, March 21, 2009, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.

Born April 9, 1926, in Belleville, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Millicent Graham Cook.

She was a retired employee in taxpayer services for the Internal Revenue Service and had been a cartographer for the U.S. Census Bureau. She was a former Girl Scout Troop Leader, a charter member of the National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, D.C., and a member of Lincoln Hills Christian Church in Corydon.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Hulett; and two grandchildren Jason Purcell and Bradley Agan.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Hulett Sr. of Meridian, Idaho, and Chris Hulett of Elizabeth; four daughters, Kathy Hulett of Salem, June Purcell of Corydon, Yvonne Agan of Jeffersonville and Theresa Wozniak of Corydon; a sister, Doris Adams of Belleville, Ill.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation: Tuesday, March 24, after 4 p.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.

Funeral: Tuesday, March 24, at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Officiant: The Rev. Webster Oglesby.

Cremation was chosen.

The family suggests memorial gifts to the National Museum of the American Indian at P.O. Box 23473, Washington, D.C. 20026-3473.
