Rosetta H. Gore

Died: Thursday, April 09, 2009
Rosetta Helen King Gore, 82, died Thursday, April 9, 2009, at 2:20 a.m. at Golden Living Center in Tell City.

Born Aug. 27, 1926, in West Fork, she was the daughter of the late Hiram (Coot) King and Margaret Luxemburger.

She worked at various nursing homes in the area and retired in 2005 from Todd-Dickey Nursing Home in Leavenworth, earned a Qualified Medical Aid Certificate and was a lifetime member of Old Union Christian Church in Sulphur.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Gerald Gore, in 1993, and three siblings, Mayfield King, Emelee Laswell and John (Sonny) King.

Survivors include five daughters, Barbara Harlen of Petersburg, Billie Franklin of Brandenburg, Kathy Schuler of Deatsville, Ala., and Joyce Crawford and Mary Nell Rhodes, both of Tell City; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Funeral: Saturday, April 11, at Denbo Funeral Home in English with burial in Old Union Cemetery in Sulphur.

Officiant: Lester Kauffman.

The family suggests memorial gifts to the Golden Living Center Nursing Home Activity Fund or her church.
