Maxine Cook

Died: Monday, January 04, 2010
Maxine Cook, 74, Bowling Green, Ky., died Monday, Jan. 4, 2010, at 2:16 p.m. at The Medical Center.

Born July 9, 1935, in Marengo, she was the daughter of the late Earl Grunden and Kathleen Bunch Grunden.

She was a graduate of Western Kentucky University, a teacher at Bowling Green Business College, a substitute teacher for Warren County Public Schools and a member of Lewis Chapel United Methodist Church.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Warden Grunden.

Survivors include her husband, James E. Cook; a son, James Earl Cook of Bowling Green; two daughters, Toresea Dunaway of Rhode Island and D’Esta Darlene Booth of Hanover, Ohio; three brothers, Owen Grunden of Marengo, Philip Grunden of Lebanon, Ill., and Victor Grunden of Evansville; four sisters, Oneida Grunden of Corydon, Imogene Borden of Huntingburg, Wilma McCalla of Milltown and Thelma Wright of Dallas, Ga.; and a grandson.
