Thelma M. Seacat

Died: Sunday, January 31, 2010
Thelma Marie Seacat, 75, Milltown, died Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.

Born July 19, 1934, in Crawford County, she was the daughter of the late Shelby and Pearl Bye Archibald.

She was a homemaker, a volunteer with the Navy Relief program and a member of El Bethel Baptist Church, where she had served in positions of Sunday school teacher, trustee, secretary and VBS art teacher.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Alice Fern Archibald, Dorothy Noblitt and Daisy Tucker, and two brothers, Robert and Earl Dean Archibald.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Ralph Lafon Seacat; two brothers, James Oliver Archibald of Prattsburg, N.Y., and Don Archibald of English; and three sisters, Sylvia Roberts of Jeffersonville, Betty Conrad of English and Pat Highfill of Eckerty.

Visitation: Wednesday, Feb. 3, from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 4, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Friday, Feb. 5, after 9 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Milltown.

Funeral: Friday, Feb. 5, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home followed by interment in El Bethel Cemetery. The Rev. Philo Jones and Brother Scott Blessitt will officiate.

The family suggests memorial gifts to El Bethel Baptist Church, 3824 S. State Road 66, Milltown, IN 47145.
