Norman E. Thevenot

Died: Friday, January 29, 2010
Norman E. Thevenot, 92, Ramsey, died Friday, Jan. 29, 2010, at Indian Creek Health and Rehab Center in Corydon.

Born March 6, 1917, at Depauw, he was the son of the late William E. and Roxy Hottell Thevenot.

He was a retired supervisor from the old Keller Manufacturing Co. and a member of Unity Chapel United Methodist Church near Ramsey.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Catherine Murr; four brothers Alva, Joseph, Paul and James Thevenot; and a sister, Mary Watson.

Survivors include a son, Carl L. Thevenot of Depauw; a daughter, Sandra June Gutknecht of Ramsey; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral: Sunday, Jan. 31, at Unity Chapel United Methodist Church with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery near Corydon.

Officiants: The Rev. Jeff Reed and Tim Gutknecht.

Pallbearers: Greg Thevenot, Bobby, Jared and Zach Barr, Todd Gengelbach and Kris, Tim and Clinton Smith.

Arrangements: Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey.

The family suggests memorial gifts to Unity Chapel United Methodist Church Choir Fund, 1760 Lost Creek Road NW, Ramsey, IN 47166 or VistaCare Hospice, 391 Quartermaster Court, Jeffersonville, IN 47130.
