Leo E. Lori

Died: Sunday, November 07, 2010
Leo E. (Bud) Lori, 95, Georgetown, died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010, at the home of his daughter, Virginia (Ginny) Forman, who cared for him, in Georgetown.

Born May 27, 1915, in Floyd County, he was the son of the late John and Viola Whitten Lori.

He was a former employee of Purity Maid Dairy, Wood Mosaic in Louisville and then retired from the Clark-Floyd County Landfill in Borden as a weigh master and attended Georgetown Christian Church.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Bagshaw; three brothers, Frank, Eddie Jo and John (Skully) Lori; two sisters, Elizabeth Craddock and Ruth Walden; and two grandchildren, Michael LaDuke and Pauline King.

Survivors besides his daughter include two other daughters, Carolyn King of Chuckey, Tenn., and Peggy Carmickle of New Albany; two sons, James Lori of New Albany and William Lori of Doltham, Ala.; a sister, Dixie Olson of New Albany; another caregiver, Brenda Shaw; 21 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 47 great-great-grandchildren; and a great-great-great-grandson.

Visitation: Wednesday, Nov. 10, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday, Nov. 11, after 9 a.m. at Kraft Funeral Services, Charlestown Road Chapel, in New Albany.

Funeral: Thursday, Nov. 11, at noon at the funeral home with private burial in Kraft Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.

The family suggests memorial gifts to The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 133 Evergreen Road, Louisville, KY 40243.
