Wanda L. Jones
Died: Saturday, January 29, 2011
Wanda Jean House Bennett Jones, 83, Clarksville, died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011, at 2:40 a.m. at Wedgewood Health Center in Clarksville.
Born Sept. 4, 1927, in Crawford County, she was the daughter of the late Willard House and Rosie Eddleman.
She was a graduate of New Albany High School, a retired employee of the Census Bureau and a member of Marengo Christian Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Samuel Bennett and Charles Jones, and a grandson.
Survivors include four children, Donald Bennett of Seymour, Barbara Wright of Georgia, William Bennett of Clarksville and Michael Jones of New Washington; three sisters, Vivian Engleman of Mooresville, Colette Spencer of Georgetown and Lorita Eddleman of Marengo; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Monday, Jan. 31, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, Feb. 1, after 9 a.m. at Dillman-Green Funeral Home in Marengo.
Funeral: Tuesday, Feb. 1, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Marengo Cemetery.
Officiant: Dr. Charles E. Burgin.
