Roy Bunch

Died: Tuesday, February 22, 2011
Roy Bunch, 96, New Albany, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.

A native of English, he was an Army veteran of World War II, was a retired carpenter for Ale Borstein in Louisville, was the Past Master of Jefferson Masonic Lodge No. 104 in New Albany and a member of New Salisbury United Methodist Church, the Scottish Rite, Valley of Indianapolis, York Rite of New Albany, the Carpenters Local 631 and the Order of the Eastern Star 596 in Greenville.

He was preceded in death by two wives, the former Fern J. Longest and Ellen A. Bye Byrn, and a son, Kenneth E. Bunch.

Survivors include a son, Albert C. Bunch of Titusville, Fla.; a daughter, Carolyn J. Leist of Clarksville; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation: Thursday, Feb. 24, from 1 to 8 p.m., with a Masonic service at 7, and Friday, Feb. 25, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Seabrook, Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Home in New Albany.

Funeral: Friday, Feb. 25, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial and military honors at SCI-Kraft Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.

The family suggests memorial gifts to the American Cancer Society or his church.
