Ralph G. Lamb

Died: Wednesday, March 02, 2011
Ralph G. Lamb, 81, New Salisbury, died Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.

Born March 6, 1929, in New Mexico, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Naomi Lamb.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II, retired from Chesty Foods, worked as a greeter at Walmart and was a member of Central Barren United Methodist Church.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Palmer, Buren, Dale, Bruce and Cecil Lamb; two sisters, Ruth and Barbara Lamb; two half-sisters, Hazel and Helen Lamb; and a great-grandson, Bryson Lamb.

Survivors include three sons, Gilbert, David and Bradley Lamb, all of New Salisbury; a daughter, Linda Giamonna of San Jose, Calif.; a sister, Margaret Atchley of Floyds Knobs; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation: Friday, March 4, from 3 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, March 5, after 10 a.m. at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra.

Funeral: Saturday, March 5, at 2 p.m. at Central Barren United Methodist Church with burial in Central Barren Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial gifts to the American Cancer Society or VistaCare Hospice.
