Chester D. Lovitt
Died: Tuesday, July 26, 2011
Chester Doyle Lovitt, 87, Depauw, died Tuesday, July 26, 2011, at his home.
A native of Whitley County, Ky., he was the son of the late Charles and Lora Kidd Lovitt.
He lived in Indiana for 60 years, was a retired farmer and was a member of Milltown Masonic Lodge and Milltown United Methodist Church.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death a brother, Dale Lovitt; a sister, Daphna Dilbeck; and a step-grandson.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Aldene; a son, Ralph Lovitt of Mohrsville, Pa.; two daughters, Linda Wilhite of West Chester, Ohio, and Loretta Wheeler of Birdseye; two grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Visitation: Saturday, July 30, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey.
Funeral: Saturday, July 30, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Hosparus of Southern Indiana or Milltown United Methodist Church.
