Naomi R. Belcher

Died: Wednesday, September 14, 2011
Naomi Ruth Belcher, 84, Bloomington, died Wednesday morning, Sept. 14, 2011, at her home.

Born Feb. 2, 1927, in English, she was the daughter of the late Luther Stanley and Emma Ilene Benham Jones.

She was a member of the Free Methodist Church in Bloomington, Gideons International Women’s Auxiliary and Women’s Ministries International.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, the Rev. James A. Roberson, in 1997; a son, Jimmy Roberson, in 1968; and a sister, Vera Deno, in 2004.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Belcher of Brooksville, Fla.; two daughters, Bonnie Elcher of Boswell and Annette Welliver of Greenwood; two stepdaughters, Peggy Maddox of Dover, Fla.; and Barbara Voglesong of English; three sisters, Eloise Helm of Casey, Ill., and Rosemary Luff and Charlene Smith, both of Bloomington; three brothers, Melvin Jones of Shelbyville, Mervin (Red) Jones of Orleans and Steve Jones of Brooksville, Fla.; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and four step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral: Saturday, Sept 17, at the Free Methodist Church with burial in Hamilton Cemetery in English.

Officiants: Pastors Chet Martin and Mel Nead.

Arrangements: Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene and Harrell Chapel in Bloomington.
