Richard S. Briscoe
Died: Thursday, September 15, 2011
Richard S. (Corky) Briscoe, 83, Depauw, died Thursday, Sept. 15, 2011, at his home.
Born June 12, 1928, at Depauw, he was the son of the late Andrew Madison and Ella Rebecca Hammond Briscoe.
He was retired from International Harvester Co. in Louisville, and was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Frenchtown.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Joyce M. Colin, and eight siblings James, John, Charles, Raymond, Robert, Waldo and Margaret Briscoe and Dorothy Bye.
Survivors include a son, Richard W. Briscoe of Depauw; three daughters, Carolyn Sue Laswell of English, Vicki Lynn Stewart of Paoli and Pamela Joyce Brown of Corydon; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Monday, Sept. 19, at 10 a.m. at St. Bernard Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. Arrangements: Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey.
Officiant: Father John Fink.
Organist: Michelle Whittaker.
Pallbearers: Richard W., Bill and Christian Briscoe, Charles and David Michael Laswell and Andrew Stewart.
