Ann L. Hoeppner

Ann L. Hoeppner Newton, 84, Eckerty, died Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at 12:55 a.m. at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper.

Born March 22, 1928, in Jefferson County, she was the daughter of the late William Hoeppner and Laura Gray.

She was a homemaker, retired from the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture after 30 years and a member of Bethany Union Church, where she was the church treasurer and a Sunday school teacher.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Newton, in 2004, and three sisters.

Survivors include a brother, Raymond Hoeppner of Madison.

Visitation: Friday, March 15, from 3 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, March 16, after 9 a.m. at Denbo Funeral Home in English.

Funeral: Saturday, March 16, at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Bethany Union Cemetery.

Officiant: The Rev. Tilden Jones.

The family suggests memorial gifts to the donor’s favorite charity.
