Crawford County Solid Waste Management District will meet Thursday, March 5, at 10 a.m. at the district office in English.

Georgetown Plan Commission will meet Tuesday, March 3, at 6:30 p.m. at the town hall.

Georgetown Redevelopment Commission will meet Tuesday, March 3, at 6 p.m. at the town hall.

Harrison County Board of Commissioners will meet Monday, March 2, at 8:30 a.m. at the Government Center in Corydon.

Harrison County Board of Health will meet Wednesday, March 4, at 8 a.m. at the Health & Education Building in Corydon.

Harrison County Election Board will meet Wednesday, March 4, at 10 a.m. in the Election Room of the Harrison County Court House in Corydon for a public test of the voting equipment.

Church

Palmyra Church of Christ will have a Super Saturday Vacation Bible School, for ages 4 to 18, on March 7 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The theme will be God’s Team. Guest speaker will be Ryan Scherer. Pilot Knob United Methodist Church will have an Ash Wednesday service Feb. 26 at 6 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

St. Joseph Catholic Church will have a fish fry each Friday through April 3, beginning Feb. 28, from 4 to 7 p.m. The cost will be $9 for adult dinners and $5 for children’s dinners. The meals will include fish, fries, baked beans, coleslaw, bread, drink and dessert. The church is located along S.R. 66. Proceeds from the fish fries support the Crawford County United Ministries Food Pantry and Utility Assistance Program.

Veterans

VFW Post 6160 at English will host a euchre tournament Saturday, Feb. 29. Sign ups will start at noon followed by the tournament at 1. Cost will be $7.50 per person; players need to bring their own partner. License No. 149847.
