Gramlin wins VFW local, regional essay contest
Three Crawford County Middle School students were selected as winners in the English Chapter of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Patriot’s Pen essay contest.
The theme of the contest, held in honor of Veterans Day, was “What is patriotism to me?”
Chance Gramlin placed first in the contest, receiving a $100 award. His essay went on to compete at regional, which he also won, advancing to state.
Hays Ferriell placed second in the contest, receiving $75, and Levi Richardson received $50 for his third-place entry.
