Crawford County Board of Commissioners will meet Tuesday, Sept. 14, at 4:30 p.m. at the judicial complex in English.

Crawford County Council will meet Tuesday, Sept. 14, at 6 p.m. at the judicial complex in English.

Crawford County Sheriff’s Merit Board will meet Thursday, Sept. 16, at 7 p.m. at the judicial complex in English.

Crawford County Solid Waste District board will meet Tuesday, Sept. 14, at 3 p.m. at the district office in English.

Crawford County Tourism board will meet Wednesday, Sept. 15, at 8 a.m. at the tourism office located at 6225 E. Industrial Lane, Leavenworth.

Greenville Town Council will meet Monday, Sept. 13, at 7 p.m. at the town hall.

Harrison County Council will meet Monday, Sept. 13, at 7 p.m. at the government center in Corydon.

Harrison County Exceptional Learners Cooperative Governing Board will meet Monday, Sept. 20, instead of Sept. 13 as initially planned. An executive session will begin at 1 p.m. followed by the public session at 1:30 p.m. at the North Harrison Community School Corp. administrative office, located at 1260 Highway 64 NW, Ramsey.

Harrison County Solid Waste District board will meet Tuesday, Sept. 14, at 7 p.m. at the district office, located at 3151 Progress Blvd. in Corydon.

Leavenworth Town Council will meet Monday, Sept. 13, at 7 p.m. at the town hall.

LifeSpan Resources Inc. board will meet Monday, Sept. 13, at noon at the YMCA Building in New Albany.

Marengo Town Council will have a special meeting Wednesday, Sept. 15, at 7 p.m. at the town hall.

Milltown Town Council will meet in executive session Monday, Sept. 13, at 6 p.m., followed by 2022 public budget hearing at 7 and its regular meeting at the town hall.

Church

New Salisbury United Methodist Church will celebrate 150 years on Saturday, Sept. 18, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with historical displays of church records, pictures, photo directories, church family quilts, personal accounts of favorite church memories and more as well as tours of the buildings. On Sunday, Sept. 19, at 10:30 a.m., there will be a 150th celebration worship service led by Pastor Lary Cropper with the message by the Rev. Mitch Gieselman, the district superintendent. The displays from the previous day will be available for viewing from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Times and dates are subject to change due to COVID-19 concerns; watch for signs regarding updates of mask wearing and social distancing.

St. Michael Church in Bradford will have a drive-thru dinner and raffle Sunday, Sept. 26, instead of its annual church picnic. The dinner, $10 served from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., will consist of one-half grilled chicken or butterfly pork chop along with homemade dumplings, green beans and cake. Raffles will include grand prize ($16,000 credit on vehicle from Earl Book’s Carriage Ford or $15,000 cash), “lots of cash,” special quilt and rifle with winning tickets to be drawn Sunday, Sept. 26. American Legion Post 84 at Marengo will have meetings the third Monday of the month for post members only, with Ladies Auxiliary at 6 p.m., Sons of the American Legion at 6:30 p.m. and Legionnaires at 7 p.m. (no outside members or guests at this time).
