The Indiana High School Athletic Association released its sectional pairings as part of its 49th annual State Tournament Pairings Show presented by Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance.

Dates for sectional games will take place depending on class. Classes 1A to 5A will begin sectional action on Oct. 22, followed by semifinals on Oct. 29 and championship rounds on Nov. 5. Class 6A schools will begin tournament action on Oct. 29 followed by championship games on Nov. 5.

The 48 sectional champions will head to regional sites on Friday, Nov. 12. Home-field advantage is awarded to sectional champs who did not host the sectional championship if applicable. If not applicable, then home field is determined based on sectional number. For Classes 2A, 4A and 6A, the team from the lower number sectional will host (i.e. Sectional 1 winner would host Sectional 2 winner). The opposite is true for Classes 1A, 3A and 5A, with the higher sectional number hosting (i.e. Sectional 48 winner hosts Sectional 47 winner).

Twelve semi-state contests will take place Nov. 19, with home-field advantage dependent on class. Classes 2A, 4A and 6A will see teams from higher sectional numbers host, while Classes 1A, 3A and 5A will have teams from lower sectional numbers host. The only exception to this rule is if a regional champion has hosted neither the sectional final nor regional. Teams in that situation would be awarded home-field advantage.

The remaining 12 teams will travel to Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis for the IHSAA State Finals on Nov. 26 and 27. While not confirmed, it is expected that Classes 1A, 3A and 5A will play on Friday, Nov. 26, while Classes 2A, 4A and 6A will compete on Saturday, Nov. 27. Home-field advantage will be decided via coin flip on Monday, Nov. 22. All six state championship games will be broadcasted live on Bally Sports Indiana, as well as by live stream on IHSAAtv.org. Lucas Oil Stadium will open its gates to fans at 11 a.m., an hour prior to the start of the first game on both days.
