Crawford County Community School Corp., will hold a public meeting Wednesday, Oct. 27, at 5 p.m. at the Crawford County Community Schools Administration Office for comment on the ratification of the 2021-22 Teacher Contract between the Crawford County Community School Corporation Board of Trustees and the Crawford County Teachers Association, 5805 E. Administration Rd. Marengo, IN 47140. The meeting is fully-accessible. Milltown Town Council will meet in executive session at 6 p.m. on both Wednesday, Oct. 27, and Thursday, Oct. 28, to conduct interviews for the town manager position.

Patoka Lake Regional Water & Sewer District board will meet Wednesday, Oct. 27, at 6:30 p.m. in the district’s operations facility meeting room in Dubois.
Bethlehem Lodge No. 574 F&AM at Birdseye will have a breakfast Friday, Oct. 22, Saturday, Oct. 23, and Sunday, Oct. 24, from 6 to 11. The menu will include biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, bacon, sausage, pancakes and drinks. The public is invited. Free-will donations will be accepted.
Floyd County Historical Society will meet Tuesday, Oct. 26, at 7 p.m. in the Elsa Strassweg Auditorium of the New Albany-Floyd County Public Library, located at 180 W. Spring St. in New Albany. Steve Wiser will present the program “Louisville 2035: Updated.” Wiser, a life-long Louisvillian who earned his bachelor’s degree in architecture in 1980, was one of the original “Young Architects” of the American Institute of Architects in 1989 and has received the Oberwarth Award, which is AIA Kentucky’s highest honor. He has also received the Founders Award from the Louisville Historical League and is the author of numerous books about Louisville architecture. Due to a scheduling conflict, Wiser is presenting his program in October rather than November, switching with Kraig McNutt, who will present his program in November. Historical Society of Harrison County will present its quarterly event, scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 26, virtually by posting a PowerPoint presentation on youtube (search for Historical Society of Harrison County Indiana) focusing on Harrison County’s Indiana historic markers that have been erected through the Indiana Historical Bureau’s Historic Markers program. This presentation, along with many other tours, programs, presentations, playlists and concerts, will be posted permanently on the Society’s youtube channel. Participants are invited to subscribe to the Historical Society of Harrison County’s youtube channel to view all Society presentations.
